Waiting Is Not Wasted

If we're honest, most of us don't enjoy waiting.
We want answers now. We want healing now. We want the breakthrough, the opportunity, or the open door as soon as we pray for it. Waiting can feel like nothing is happening.
But Scripture tells a different story.
God has never been in a hurry, yet He has never been late.
Throughout the Bible, we see men and women who waited. Abraham waited for a promised son. Joseph waited through betrayal and imprisonment. David waited before becoming king. Even Jesus spent years in quiet preparation before beginning His public ministry.
Waiting wasn't a pause in God's plan, it was part of His plan.
Sometimes God is preparing the blessing.
Other times, He's preparing us to receive it.
The difficult seasons often produce the deepest roots. Our faith is strengthened, our character is refined, and our dependence on Christ grows in ways that comfort never could.
If you're in a season where it feels like God is silent, don't assume He is absent. Seeds grow underground long before anyone sees the first sprout. In much the same way, God is often working beneath the surface, accomplishing things we cannot yet see.
So don't lose heart.
Keep praying.
Keep trusting.
Keep taking the next faithful step.
Your waiting is not wasted when it's placed in God's hands.
Scripture to Reflect On
"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord."Psalm 27:14 (KJV)
A Prayer
Father, waiting is difficult, especially when I don't understand what You're doing. Help me to trust Your timing even when it doesn't match my own. Strengthen my faith, remind me of Your promises, and teach me to rest in Your presence while I wait. Thank You for always being faithful. In Jesus' name, Amen.
